Viteri Handmade Selmer/Maccaferri-Style Gypsy Jazz Guitar
Here is a fantastic opportunity to own a handmade Viteri Gypsy Jazz guitar, built by respected American luthier Michael Viteri.
Viteri is known for his beautifully crafted jazz instruments as well as his Selmer-Maccaferri and Selmer-style guitars, drawing inspiration from the instruments associated with the great Django Reinhardt and the early European Gypsy Jazz tradition.
This guitar features a beautiful amber/natural finish, distinctive oval soundhole, slotted headstock, traditional jazz-style tailpiece, and a classic Selmer/Maccaferri-inspired body design. The instrument has a very unique appearance and is certainly not something you see every day.
The interior carries the Viteri builder label, confirming its handmade Viteri origin.
Michael Viteri is a respected luthier based in Texas who has built a relatively small number of instruments, making these guitars considerably more uncommon than mass-produced jazz guitars. His work includes both traditional archtops and Selmer-Maccaferri-style instruments.
